ATHENS, Ga. - The No. 5-8-seeded junior tandem of Kevin Anderson and Ryan Rowe fell in a three-set marathon to No. 9-ranked Marco Born and Andreas Siljestrom of Middle Tennessee State in the NCAA doubles championship today at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex. The eighth-ranked Illinois tandem started strong against Middle Tennessee State's Born and Siljestrom, but lost tiebreaks in the second and third sets to fall 4-6, 7-6 (6), 7-6(4), coming up just short of becoming the first doubles team to repeat as NCAA champions in consecutive years with the same partner.

"I was very proud of the guy's effort today," head coach Brad Dancer said. "The guys had their chance to serve out the match and then again had match point in the tiebreaker in the second, but could not close out the win." Full Story
