Through today, the Big Ten will highlight each of the 24 student-athletes nominated for the conference's Athlete of the Year awards. Award winners are voted on by a pre-selected media panel and will be announced on Wednesday.

Blaz Rola - Ohio State - Men's Tennis
Rola capped a 32-1 overall record this season by winning the NCAA Men's Tennis Singles Championship. A four-time All-American, Rola finished the season on a 13-match win streak, defeating six ranked opponents in tournament play en route to the title and finishing his collegiate career with a 13-2 all-time record at the championships. Rola, a unanimous first-team All-Big Ten selection, guided the Buckeyes to their eighth consecutive conference championship and a Big Ten Tournament title. The Ptuj, Slovenia, native has won at least 30 singles matches in each of his seasons at Ohio State. Click HERE for more information on Blaz.
