The Big Ten men's outdoor track and field season opens this weekend with four conference teams in action on Saturday.
Illinois travels to Columbia, S.C. for the Weems Baskins Relays while Michigan will compete at the Shamrock Invitational in Conway, S.C. Minnesota heads to San Francisco, Calif. for the Bay Area Blast Off and defending conference champion Wisconsin will be the lone Big Ten team at the Hurricane Invite in Miami, Fla.
The remaining league schools will begin their 2006 campaigns in the upcoming weeks.
