Masheto earns his first career outdoor honor after winning the 400 meters at the Willie Williams Classic in Tucson, Ariz., over the weekend. His time of 45.41 in the event ranks him third all-time in Illinois' outdoor records. The career-best finish also qualifies him for NCAA Regionals and is currently the best among collegiate athletes in the country.

Studt earns his first career weekly award after qualifying for the NCAA Regionals with a third-place finish in the shot put at the Georgia Invitational on Saturday. Studt's toss of 58'11.00" in the event also set a new Minnesota freshman record. The freshman also finished fifth in the discus with a throw of 163'03.00".
