The 2009 Big Ten Outdoor Track and Field season kicked off this past weekend with Minnesota, Wisconsin and Illinois' men's throwers all competing. The Gopher men kicked off their season at Arizona State as four student-athletes set regional qualifying marks. The women traveled to Tampa, Fla. as they competed in a meet hosted by South Florida. The Badgers represented split squads at the Hurricane Invitational and the Rose-Hulman Early Bird meet. Illini men throwers tested their arms at the Willie Williams classic in Tucson, Ariz.
The remaining Big Ten squads will kick off their season either this upcoming weekend or the following weekend.
