Men’s Track Athlete of the Week

Pat Plank, Wisconsin

In his first collegiate outdoor meet, Plank recorded two event wins at the Rose-Hulman Early Bird meet.  The freshman posted a winning time in the 400-meter hurdles of 54.13.  To close the meet, Plank ran a leg of the Badger’s 4x400-meter relay which broke the tape at 3:18.45.  Plank takes home his first Big Ten Track Athlete of the Week award.

Men’s Field Athlete of the Week

Robert Dehn, Wisconsin
So., Owatonna, Minn. / Owatonna

Dehn opened his 2009 outdoor campaign with a strong showing in the javelin.  The sophomore posted a throw of 206 feet (62.79m.) which topped all competitors at the Rose-Hulman Early Bird meet.  His mark also becomes the fourth-best toss in school history and qualifies him for the Mideast Regional meet at the end of May.
