Men's Track Athletes of the Week

Adam Harris, Michigan
Jr., Wheaton, Ill. / Wheaton North

Harris set two personal-bests in the 100 and 200 meters last weekend at the Tennessee Sea Ray Relays.  The junior's 100-meter dash time of 10.24 ranks him second all-time on Michigan's performance list, just missing the top spot by 0.02 (Ike Okenwa in 2000).  Harris' 200-meter time of 20.81 was good enough for a second-place finish in the event.  The Wheaton, Ill., native picks up his first career outdoor Track Athlete of the Week accolade.

Last MICH Track Athlete of the Week:  Nick Willis (5/2/05)

Men's Co-Field Athletes of the Week

Jeff Coover, Indiana
Jr., La Jolla, Calif. / La Jolla
Coover recorded the third-best pole vault in the NCAA this season with his performance at the Sea Ray Relays, clearing 17-06.50 (5.35).  His mark was 30 centimeters higher than the regional qualifying standard and also 20 centimeters higher than his previous personal best.  Coover finished second in the meet among collegiate competition and third overall.  The junior garners his first career weekly honor.
