Big Ten Concludes Day One of NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Preliminary Championships

Seventeen Big Ten student-athletes qualified for the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships after the first day of preliminaries on Thursday. Multiple student-athletes also moved on to the quarterfinals in their respective events, which will take place on Friday and Saturday. The East Preliminary in Jacksonville, Fla., and the West Preliminary in Austin, Texas, resume on Friday at 10 a.m. local time.
