The Big Ten concluded Day Two of the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships on Thursday, highlighted by a second-place finish in the high jump by Indiana's Derek Drouin. The Hoosier junior leaped 2.31 meters to place second in the event, leading all Big Ten participants on the day. Nebraska's Bjorn Barrefors finished ninth in the decathlon, tallying 7,769 points at the championships. In the men's javelin, Matt Byers (72.39 meters) placed 10th.

Purdue's Leah Eber (long jump) and Wisconsin's Caitlin Comfort (10,000 meters) recorded ninth-place finishes in their respective events, while Penn State's Melissa Kurzdorfer finished 12th in the hammer throw.
