- Posted a 16-1 (6:02) technical fall against Lock Haven’s Owen Wilkinson en route to the Illini’s 38-6 win
- Defeated fourth-ranked Eric Grajales of Michigan by 6-3 decision in Illinois’ 31-9 win over the eighth-ranked Wolverines

- Pinned Indiana’s Joe Duca in 3:57 to help the Hawkeyes earn a 26-12 win over the Hoosiers
