Hawkeyes' Borschel Garners Wrestler of the Week Honors

Wrestler of the Week Borschel wins his first Big Ten Wrestler of the Week award after posting a 4-0 record and winning Division I Outstanding Wrestler honors at the NWCA/Cliff Keen National Duals last weekend. The Hawkeyes won their third straight team title at the event as Borschel defeated four ranked opponents, earning major decision victories in the semifinal and championship matches. In opening-round action, Borschel, ranked No. 2 at 174 pounds, defeated No. 3 Stephen Dwyer of Nebraska, then knocked off No. 16 Nate Lee of Boise State in the quarterfinals. The senior then defeated No. 13 Scott Glasser of Minnesota in the semis and No. 14 Duke Burk of Iowa State in the final. Last Iowa Wrestler of the Week: Brent Metcalf (Jan. 5, 2010)
