Penn State's Wade Named Big Ten Wrestler of the Week

Big Ten Wrestler of the Week Penn State heavyweight Cameron Wade earns his first Big Ten Wrestler of the Week honor after defeating two ranked opponents over the weekend to help the No. 2 Nittany Lions remain undefeated. Wade, the sixth-ranked heavyweight in the country, won a 3-2 decision against third-ranked Ryan Tomei of Pittsburgh, leading the Nittany Lions to a 30-7 win over the No. 22 Panthers on Friday. The junior followed with a 6-0 decision over 14th-ranked Ricky Alcala of Indiana, helping Penn State secure a 36-8 victory over the Hoosiers on Sunday. Wade moved to 21-3 this season after the back-to-back victories, while the Nittany Lions hold a 13-0 overall record and a 2-0 mark in Big Ten duals.
