Cheza earns his first Big Ten Wrestler of the Week honor after scoring a pair of wins over ranked opponents for the Spartans over the weekend. In Friday's matchup against Minnesota, Cheza, ranked 13th in the 149-pound weight class, defeated 18th-ranked Mario Mason, 12-8. The redshirt sophomore followed Friday's win with a 2-0 shutout against 20th-ranked Eric Terrazas from Illinois on Sunday. With the wins, Cheza improves his winning streak to six and is 17-7 on the season.

Palmer helped the No. 4 Buckeyes to a 21-14 victory over No. 13 Penn State on Sunday. In the 149-pound bout featuring a pair of top-five grapplers, it was the third-ranked Palmer who came away with a 5-3 decision over Penn State's Frank Molinaro, ranked fifth nationally. An early first-period takedown and a reversal in the third period gave Palmer the lead for good as he tallied his third win over a top-10 opponent this season and earned his first Big Ten Wrestler of the Week honor.
