Mike Tamillow, Northwestern Tamillow provided one of many memorable individual Wildcat performances in Northwestern's 22-19 comeback victory over Iowa last Friday night. With Northwestern trailing 19-9, Tamillow matched up against fifth-ranked Paul Bradley at 184 lbs. Trailing 3-2 in the closing seconds, the true freshman scored a single point with an escape to knot the score. Tamillow then slammed Bradley to the mat just as the buzzer sounded for two points and a 5-3 win. The `Cats followed with three more individual victories to complete the comeback and beat the Hawkeyes for the first time in 37 years. The victory over the all-American Bradley was the 20th of the year for Tamillow. He improved to 7-2 in duals and 2-1 in the Big Ten. Tamillow's first career Big Ten Wrestler of the Week award is Northwestern's second of the season. Freshman Jake Herbert was honored by the League on January 5, 2005.
