Brandvold wins his first Big Ten Wrestler of the Week honor after defeating a pair of ranked opponents over the weekend for the No. 13 Badgers. Against No. 24 Purdue on Friday, eighth-ranked Brandvold defeated 11th-ranked Logan Brown, 8-3, as part of a 27-11 Wisconsin victory. Two days later, the 197-pounder squared off against No. 14 Patrick Bond of Illinois in a match that went to tiebreakers. An escape by Brandvold was the deciding point as the junior earned a 2-1 victory to notch his seventh consecutive win in.
