Penn State Earns at Least a Share of Big Ten Dual Championship

ROSEMONT, Ill. – With its 34-7 win over Illinois on Friday, No. 2 Penn State clinched a share of the Big Ten Wrestling Dual Meet Championship.
The regular-season conference title marks the fourth in the last six years for Penn State. The Nittany Lions are currently 8-0 and can clinch the outright Big Ten Championship with a win on Sunday versus Maryland.
The Nittany Lions claimed eight bouts against the Fighting Illini, with wins from Nick Suriano (125), James Gulibon (141), Zain Retherford (149), Jason Nolf (157), Mark Hall (174), Bo Nickal (184), Matt McCutcheon (197) and Nick Nevills (285).
The 2017 Big Ten Wrestling Championships will be held from March 4-5 at Indiana University.
