Schlatter, a true freshman and the nation's top-ranked grappler at 149 pounds, improved to 32-1 with a dominating 11-2 major decision against defending NCAA Champion and two-time NCAA finalist Zack Esposito of Oklahoma State this past Sunday. Schlatter's win over the third-ranked wrestler gave Minnesota a 10-6 lead en route to a 19-16 victory against the three-time defending NCAA Champions. It was Schlatter's second win of the year over Esposito, including an 8-7 triumph at the National Duals in mid-January. Sunday's victory was Schlatter's fourth over a top-five ranked opponent in the past month.
