ST. LOUIS - The second day of the NCAA Wrestling Championships is underway, with quarterfinal, semifinal and wrestleback matches taking place on Friday. Session III, which features quarterfinal matches, is slated for a 10 a.m. CT start, while the semifinals will take place during Session IV, beginning at 6 p.m.
Penn State holds the early lead at the championships, while Minnesota is in second and Iowa is in fifth to lead seven Big Ten teams in the top 10 through one day of competition. Thirty-six Big Ten wrestlers remain in the championship brackets, while another 36 are competing in wrestlebacks.
