PHILADELPHIA - Penn State holds first place through day one at the 2011 NCAA Wrestling Championships, leading the way for four Big Ten teams in the top 10 in the team standings through the event's first two sessions.

The Nittany Lions racked up 30.5 points on Thursday, while Iowa sits in a tie for third at 25 points. Wisconsin is in seventh place with 20 points and Minnesota holds ninth place with 19 points. Penn State leads the championships with seven active wrestlers in the championship round. The Hawkeyes have five active grapplers in the championship round, followed by the Badgers with four.

Day two of the NCAA Wrestling Championships is set to begin at 10:30 ET on Friday.
