Following Thursday’s opening rounds of wrestling, 26 Big Ten grapplers remain in the championship brackets at the 2010 NCAA Wrestling Championships in Omaha, Neb. In the team standings, Iowa finished the first day at the top of the leaderboard with 34.5 points, 8.5 points ahead of Oklahoma State. Ohio State and Wisconsin are tied in fourth with 23 points while Minnesota is eighth with 20 points and Penn State is in a four-way tie for 10th with 17 points.

Thirty-two other conference wrestlers remain in the consolation brackets following the first two sessions of the championships and remain in the hunt for All-America honors.

Friday’s opening session is scheduled to begin at 10:30 a.m. ET and the evening session will get underway at 7 p.m. Both of the day’s sessions will be televised live by ESPNU.
