Sanderson, the fifth-ranked 157-pounder in the nation, earns his first Big Ten Wrestler of the Week award after posting a 2-0 mark this past weekend for the Nittany Lions. In his Penn State debut on Saturday versus Lehigh, Sanderson used a late takedown against Sean Bilodeau to clinch a 5-2 victory. On Sunday against Bloomsburg, the senior was part of a top-five showdown against No. 2 Matt Moley, a dual that ended with Sanderson claiming a 3-2 decision and sparking Penn State to a 23-15 victory.
