Big Ten Announces Co-Wrestlers of the Week

Co-Wrestlers of the Week Jake Strayer, Penn State Strayer, ranked seventh in the 141-pound class nationally, claimed an upset over second-ranked Charles Griffin of Hofstra to lead the Nittany Lions past the Pride in a dual meet. Strayer nearly pinned the former NCAA semifinalist on his way to a 6-1 decision. Penn State also won the overall dual, 28-11. This is Strayer's second weekly honor of his career. Last PSU WOW: Aaron Anspach (2/7/2007) Dallas Herbst, Wisconsin Herbst went 5-0 on the week, in leading Wisconsin to a dual win over Cornell and being crowned 197-pound champion at the Body Bar Invite in Ithaca, N.Y. Herbst's Badger team trailed Cornell, 18-15, heading into the final bout of the meet when he pinned Matt Panasevich to propel Wisconsin past the Big Red to take the dual by a score of 21-18. Herbst also dominated opponents at the Body Bar Invite, pinning three of four grapplers in route to winning his class championship. This is Herbst's second weekly laurel of his career.
