Steve Luke, Michigan
FR, 157, Massillon, Ohio/Perry

Luke, in just the second varsity competition of his Michigan career, captured the 157-pound champion at the Cliff Keen Invitational (Dec. 2-3) with a perfect 6-0 record. Luke posted one fall and one major decision en route to the championship match, were he defeated Illinois' top-ranked Alex Tirapelle, needing 11 minutes to beat the two-time All-American on riding time after the second round of tiebreakers.  He also defeated fourth-ranked Dustin Manotti of Cornell 3-2 in the semifinals.

Luke helped lead Michigan to a first-place finish in the 50-team field, scoring 145 points and 29 more than second-place Cornell.
