Ryan Churella, Michigan
JR, 165, Northville, Mich./Novi

Churella registed a perfect 6-0 record to win the 165-pound individual crown at the Cliff Keen Invitational last weekend, helping the Wolverines capture the team title for the second time in four seasons.  The Michigan junior earned bonus points in his first four bouts with a fall, a technical fall and two major decisions and outscored the opposition 49-5 (excluding the fall). He tallied decisions against No. 9 Tyron Woodley of Missouri, 3-1, and No. 6 Nate Yetzer of Edinboro, 7-1.  Since moving up from 149 pounds last season, Churella has won a pair of tournament titles (Cliff Keen and Body Bay Invitational) and owns an overall record of 10-1.  His only loss this season was against top-ranked Troy Letters of Lehigh.
