Illinois redshirt freshman Tony Dallago earns his first Big Ten Wrestler of the Week award after helping the No. 9 Illini to a Big Ten dual win over No. 15 Purdue on Sunday. Dallago, ranked 15th in the nation at 184 pounds, pinned eighth-ranked A.J. Kissel in 2:59 to give Illinois six points and its first lead of the match at 12-7. The Illini remained in front after Dallago's pin, earning a 26-15 win over the Boilermakers to improve to 2-0 overall and 1-0 in Big Ten competition. Dallago's first career victory over a top-10 opponent pushes his record to 11-5 on the season.
