Over Half of League's Men's Cross Country Squads in Action This Weekend

Complete Release in PDF Format Over half of the conference's men's cross country teams will open their 2005 schedules this weekend, with Illinois and Iowa competing in Iowa City at the Hawkeye Open on Friday. Indiana and Purdue will both host events on Friday as well, while Michigan State travels to Mount Pleasant, Mich., for the Jeff Drenth Memorial. Minnesota opens its 2005 schedule on Saturday at the St. Thomas Early Bird Meet in St. Paul, Minn. Wisconsin, winners of the last six straight Big Ten titles, also finished second at the 2004 NCAA Championships, led by national champion Simon Bairu.
