MacTaggart broke the Ashton Cross Country Course record with a 6K time of 18:18 en route to a win at the Hawkeye Open this past weekend. He was part of Iowa's top four finishers that led the Hawkeyes past Big Ten foe Illinois to the team victory as well.

This is MacTaggart's first career Big Ten Runner of the Week award.
