BIG TEN MEN'S CO-RUNNER OF THE WEEK
Stephan Shay, Michigan State
JR, East Jordan, Mich./Central Lake

Shay claimed the first title of his career, turning in the top finish last week at the Nike/Playmakers Spartan Invitational. The MSU junior was the only runner to time under 25 minutes, crossing the finish line in an 8K time of 24:58 and placing ahead of 111 other runners. Shay's efforts helped lead Michigan State to a second-place finish and mark the first individual title for an MSU runner since Oct. 10, 2003.

John Ealy, Ohio State
JR, Reynoldsburg, Ohio/Reynoldsburg

Ealy repeats as Big Ten Runner of the Week after winning his second consecutive event last Saturday at the Buckeye Invitational.  The OSU junior finished the 8K course in 22:00.0, which marked the fastest 8K time of any Big Ten runner last week.
