PARK RIDGE, Ill. - The Big Ten Conference named Illinois' Colin Mickow and Michigan State's Aaron Simoneau as its men's cross country Co-Runners of the Week on Tuesday.

Colin Mickow earns his first career weekly accolade after leading the Illini to the Illinois Intercollegiate Championships title on Friday. Mickow finished the 8,000-meter course in 24:26, good for a second-place finish. The junior was one of five Illinois runners to finish in the top 10, helping the team finish ahead of 38 other squads.

Michigan State's Aaron Simoneau captured his first individual title at the Spartan Invitational on Friday en route to his first weekly conference honor. Simoneau crossed the finish line in 24:28, eclipsing his previous best 8,000-meter time by 50 seconds. The junior was joined in the individual top 10 by six other Spartan runners.
