Bairu won his first Roy Griak Invitational title of his illustrious career last week with a winning time of 23:34.  Bairu, the defending NCAA champion, cut more than 30 seconds off his runner-up time of 24:07 from a year ago.  His top-ranked Badgers placed second out of 31 teams at the Griak with 151 points.

This is Bairu's second career Runner of the Week award.  He earned the honor as a sophomore on Oct. 1, 2003.
