MEN
Nate Brannen, Michigan
SR, Cambridge, Ontario/Preston

Making his season debut for Michigan, Brannen claimed third place with a time of 24:25.89 to lead the Wolverines to the team title at the Great American Cross Country Festival.

Brannen has led the Wolverines to the finish line in four consecutive scored meets, dating back to last season's Big Ten Championship.

The team captain is a two-time NCAA Cross Country All-American.

Last weekend's finish for the fifth-ranked Wolverines was their best result in the event in three appearances.  Michigan placed runner-up in 2001 and 2003.
