Brannen paced the Wolverines for the second time this season, claiming runner-up honors in the NCAA Pre-National white race with a personal-best 8K time of 23:56.8 --shaving 1.4 seconds from his previous mark.  This is the second Conference laurel for Brannen this season.

Carlson won the individual title at the Jim Drews Invitational in a field that included No. 1 Wisconsin. Carlson's winning time of 24:12.0 was a personal best and the fifth best in school history over an 8K course. He also won the Drews title in 2002.
