Claiming runner-up honors, Bauer paced U-M in its regular-season finale at the EMU Classic last Friday. After hanging among the leaders for the entire 8,000-meter race, the Wolverine sophomore used his kick to clock a time of 25:25 and record the best finish of his Michigan career.
By being the top U-M finisher, he also earned the ninth spot on the roster for Sunday's Big Ten Championships.
