Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week

Aprill set a new personal best time in the 10,000 meters at the EMU Fall Classic last Friday to place sixth overall.  His time of 31:32 trumps his old top mark by 44 seconds which was set in August on the same course at the Michigan Open.  No team scores were calculated, however the Wolverines placed two runners in the top 10.  Aprill collects his first weekly Big Ten honor

Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Week

Amber Stack, Illinois
Fr., Wheeling, Ill. / Wheeling

Stack paced the Illinois harriers, which finished seven of the top 10 runners, at the Illini Open last Friday.  Her time of 18:44 set a new personal best by over a minute at the 5,000-meter distance.  First-place Illinois tallied 19 team points with the next closest squad totaling 42 points.  The freshman garners her first career Big Ten Runner of the Week accolade.
