GAME NOTES
Michigan State leads the all-time series with Illinois 26-24. The Spartans have been victorious in all three meetings this season.
The game marked the second overtime contest of the 2005 Big Ten Tournament and the sixth in the 10-year history of the event.

The Spartans moved to 3-0 this season in overtime games. MSU beat Boston College 82-78 November 21 and defeated Notre Dame 82-73 December 2.
It was the second overtime game in the Big Ten Tournament for the Spartans. Michigan State was beaten by Ohio State 92-89 in double overtime during the first round of the 2002 Tournament.
Michigan State went on a 13-0 run in the last 1:05 of regulation through the overtime period.
Kelli Roehrig led the Spartans with 15 points and 11 boards, marking her seventh double-double of the season and the 12th of her career.
Michigan State had four players reach double digit scoring (Roehrig 15; Lucas-Perry 14; Haynie 13; Bowen 11). It was the 16th time in 28 games the Spartans have had four or more players score in double figures.

Angelina Williams left her mark on the Illinois record books, finishing her career fourth on UI's all-time leading scoring list with 1,613 career points. She also finished in the top 10 in: field goals (662, 3rd), blocks (111, 4th), steals (198, 6th), 3-pointers (85, 8th), free throws (331, 8th), games played (114, 9th) and rebounds (620, 10th).
Tiffanie Guthrie, who led the Fighting Illini with a game-high 20 points in tonight's contest, finished her career 11th on Illinois' all-time scoring list with 1,366 points. She also finished 10th on UI's all-time lists for 3-pointers (57) and blocks (64) and ninth in games played (114).
With 20 points and 10 rebounds in the game, Guthrie recorded her 11th double-double of the season.
Jeré Issenmann finished her career with Illinois fourth in career 3-pointers with 94.
Erin Wigley recorded her third-career double-double, tallying 10 points and a career-high 11 rebounds. It marked Wigley's fifth-consecutive double-digit performance and her 11th this season.
Audrey Tabon tallied a career-high 12 boards in tonight's contest.
The overtime game was Illinois' first OT game since Dec. 4, 2004, when the Illini defeated Louisiana Tech 71-65. UI's last overtime loss was on March 2, 2003, when they fell to Indiana 85-82 in OT.
The contest marked Illinois' first overtime game in the Big Ten Tournament.
