For the second time in the 11-year history of the Big Ten Tournament and the first since 2000, the Top 4 seeds have advanced to the semifinals. In 2000, No. 1 Penn State, No. 2 Michigan, No. 3 Purdue and No. 4 Illinois all advanced. Purdue beat Penn State 71-63 to win the Tournament championship.
Penn State leads the all-time series 17-11 over Iowa, including the previous four and five of the last six contests.
The Lady Lions hold a 2-0 advantage in Big Ten Tournament games over the Hawkeyes.
Penn State will play Michigan State in the semifinals Sunday at 6 p.m.

Penn State improved to 19-8 all-time in Big Ten Tournament action, advancing to the semifinals for the ninth time in Tournament history.
The contest was the first decided by three or less points for the Lady Lions this season. PSU improved to 7-3 when a game is decided by 10 or less points.
After scoring only three points in the first half, Tanisha Wright tallied 14 second-half points, including eight in the final 3:55 of the contest, for a game total of 17. She is now 36 points shy of becoming the fourth player in Penn State history to score 2,000 points.
Wright dished out seven assists in the contest, all of which came in the first half. It tied a season high and was one shy of her career high.
Jess Strom led the Lady Lions with 21 points for her ninth 20-point game of the season. It also marked the 10th time Strom led the Lady Lions in scoring in the 2004-05 campaign.
With 10 points and 12 rebounds, Ashli Schwab recorded her second double-double of the season and the fifth of her career.
Jennifer Brenden set a career high with five steals. She tied her previous best (4) in the first half.

Iowa is 12-10 all-time in Big Ten Tournament games.
Jamie Cavey moved into fourth place on Iowa's all-time list for career blocks with five swats against the Lady Lions. Cavey has 90 career blocks and replaced Cathy Marx (1990-94) on the list. She is 24 away from third place.
Cavey tallied 21 points and 11 rebounds for her fifth double-double of the seasons.
Guard Jenna Armstrong hit her 100th career 3-pointer with 4:27 remaining in the first half. She had two treys in the game.
Iowa led 34-31 at halftime but fell to 16-2 this season when leading at the break.
