Ohio State leads the series 42-8 against Minnesota.
Today's game marked the third time that the Gophers met the Buckeyes in the Big Ten Tournament, with Ohio State holding a 2-1 advantage.
The No. 4 seed improved to 4-1 against the No. 1 seed in the semifinals.
The Minnesota-Ohio State game was the third overtime contest in the Tournament this year. It marks the second time in Big Ten Tournament history there have been three overtime games in one year (2002).
The last time a Tournament semifinal game went into overtime was in 1998, when Penn State defeated Michigan 87-81 in overtime.

It was Minnesota's first overtime game in the Big Ten Tournament.
The last time Minnesota defeated a top-five opponent was No. 1-ranked Duke in the Elite Eight on March 30, 2004.
Minnesota improved to 22-1 when it shoots better from the field than its opponent (MINN 51.9-percent, OSU 43.3-percent).
The Gophers also improved to 21-2 when they out-rebounded their opponents MINN 36, OSU 28) and 17-2 when Minnesota's bench outscores its opponent's bench (MINN 7 points, OSU 4 points).
After tallying 21 points and 15 rebounds, Janel McCarville recorded her 46th career double-double, just two shy of the Gopher record of 48, held by Molly Tadich (1983-87).
It was McCarville's fourth game this season with 15 or more rebounds.
McCarville, who tallied the first and only triple-double (18 points, 11 rebounds and 10 steals) in Big Ten Tournament history vs. Ohio State on March 5, 2004, was three assists shy of accomplishing the feat Sunday with 21 points, 15 rebounds and 7 assists.
Jamie Broback led all scorers with 24 points on Sunday. The Gophers improved to 9-1 when Broback leads the team in scoring.

Ohio State is 15-11 all-time in Big Ten Tournament games and is 2-5 in semifinal games.
Big Ten Player of the Year Jessica Davenport scored her 1,000th career point with a bucket with 3:24 left in the first half. She is the third Ohio State sophomore (Frani Washington and Katie Smith) to reach the 1,000-point mark and is the 24th Buckeye all-time to have accomplished the feat.
Davenport has 1,006 career points.
Davenport had 12 points and 12 rebounds for her 11th double-double of the season and the 15th of her career.
The overtime game was the first for Ohio State under head coach Jim Foster. The last Ohio State overtime game was during the 2002 Big Ten Tournament when the Buckeyes beat Michigan State 89-82 in double overtime.
Ohio State, who led 30-27 at halftime, dropped its first game of the season when leading at the break (26-1).
Sophomore Brandie Hoskins scored a career-high 23 points against Minnesota. Her previous personal-best was 22 against Penn on December 21, 2003.
