Allyssa DeHaan, Michigan State

DeHaan earns her second Player of the Week honor this season and the eighth of her career after leading the Spartans with 24 points and 10 rebounds in a win at Northwestern on Thursday. DeHaan’s 24 points marks a single-game season high for the Spartans and came on 56 percent shooting from the floor. The performance marked the senior’s third double-double of the season and the 18th of her career. The 6-9 center also recorded five blocks in the contest, putting her just 12 away from the NCAA’s all-time record. Among DeHaan’s 24 points were two baskets in the final two minutes that broke a tie and put Michigan State up for good. Her 10 rebounds increased her career total to 861, placing her fourth on the Spartans’ career list.

FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
Morgan Johnson, Iowa
C, 6-5, Platte City, Mo./Platte County
Johnson takes home her first Freshman of the Week honor after leading Iowa to a 70-50 win over Purdue on Sunday. The freshman tallied 16 points on 7-of-8 shooting, making her first seven shots. She also pulled down 11 rebounds for her third double-double of the season. Her 16-point performance was two off her career high, and 11 rebounds is one off her personal best. The 6-5 center also added a pair of blocks as the Hawkeyes won their third straight game.
