Game 3: #8 Illinois vs. #9 Penn State

(20:00, 1st Half):  Penn State wins the tip and we are underway at Conseco Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.

(16:02, 1st Half):  Illinois calls a 30-second timeout -- Penn State 11, Illinois 6

(15:11, 1st Half):  Media timeout - Penn State leads by 3 nearly five minutes into the game - PSU 11, ILL 8

(11:27, 1st Half):  Penn State 15, Illinois 12 ... under 12-media timeout.  Penn State is shooting 38% from the field while Illinois is shooting 33%.

(7:35, 1st Half):  Penn State 17, Illinois 16 ... Illinois will shoot two free throws coming out of the timeout.  Penn State shooting 33% from the field ... Illinois shooting 35% from the field.

(3:30, 1st Half):  Illinois 24, Penn State 21 ... media timeout

Halftime:  Illinois 31, Penn State 29 ... Penn State outrebounding Illinois 20-16 ... Penn State is 36% from the field (11-for-31) compared to Illinois shooting 39% (13-for-33).

(14:40, 2nd Half):  Illinois opens the half outscoring the Nittany Lions 8-5 and have taken a 39-34 lead. 

(12:38, 2nd Half):  Illinois 43, Penn State 36 -- Illini have outscored PSU 12-7 in the half and are shooting 55% from the field in the second half.

(11:56, 2nd Half):  Under-12 media timeout ... Illinois leads 43-38 ... Lacey Simpson has 17 points and 9 rebounds for the Fighting Illini.

(7:00, 2nd Half):  Illinois calls timeout after a major run ... it's Illinois 11-4 since the last update and 23-13 in the half.

(6:11, 2nd Half):  Under-8 media timeout ... Illinois leads 54-44.

(3:46, 2nd Half):  Under-4 media timeout ... Illinois still leads 54-44.  Fighting Illini will shoot two coming back out.
