Pregame:  We are live and online from the first game of the Big Ten Tournament Quarterfinals between #7 seed Wisconsin and #2 seed Michigan State.

(20:00, 1st Half):  Michigan State wins the tip and we are under way with the first of four quarterfinal matchups from Conseco Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.

(15:32, 1st Half):  Alternating possession goes to Wisconsin when we come back out the media timeout.  Michigan State 6, Wisconsin 4.  The Spartans are 3-of-4 from the field to Wisconsin's 2-of-6.

(11:59, 1st Half):  Michigan State 10, Wisconsin 5 as MSU will shoot two free throws out of timeout.  Michigan State is shooting 57% from the field while Wisconsin is shooting 20%.

(10:19, 1st Half):  Wisconsin uses a timeout to save a possession and a possible jump ball.  Michigan State leads 14-7 and continues to shoot the ball well.

(7:21, 1st Half):  Wisconsin is forced to use another timeout as Allyssa DeHaan's three pointer gives the Spartans a 21-9 lead.

(6:36, 1st Half):  Rae LIn D'Alie hit a big 3 as the shot clock expired to pull the Badgers back within nine.  A reach-in foul was called up top to send us to the media timeout, 1-and-1 free throw shooting for MSU ... MSU 21, WISC 12

Allyssa DeHaan has broken the Big Ten Conference's all-time record for shots blocked in a career with her two blocks this afternoon.

(4:16, 1st Half):  Michigan State calls timeout as Wisconsin scores six straight to pull within 3 ... Michigan State 23, Wisconsin 20.

(3:35, 1st Half):  Wisconsin takes the charge and will get the ball after this under-4 media timeout.  Score remains 23-20, MSU's lead.

(Halftime):  Michigan State 26, Wisconsin 20 ....


 

 

(20:00, 2nd Half):  Teams are back on the court and ready to start the second stanza.

(18:52, 2nd Half):  Wisconsin scores the first four points of the half to close within two.

(15:51, 2nd Half):  Michigan State takes the charge up top and leads by two heading into the under-16 media timeout.  Michigan State 31, Wisconsin 29.

(13:42, 2nd Half):  Wisconsin has fought back to tie the game at 31.

(11:58, 2nd Half):  Michigan State 33, Wisconsin 31 -- under-12 media timeout.

(7:45, 2nd Half):  Wisconsin 39, Michigan State 35 -- the Spartans have committed 23 turnovers.

(6:15, 2nd Half):  Wisconsin opens up their biggest lead of the game at 7 points.  Wisconsin 23-12 this half ... Badgers lead 43-38.

(3:43, 2nd Half):  Wisconsin 49, Michigan State 40 -- the Badgers have forced 25 turnovers and have outscored the Spartans 29-14 in the half.

(1:05, 2nd Half):  DeHaan for two and MSU is back within three at 53-50.  MSU has been using a 1-3-1 full court trap to get back into the game.  10-4 run for the Spartans.

(46.9 seconds, 2nd Half):  Michigan State gets the rebound after a Wisconsin miss -- timeout, Suzy Merchant.  Spartans down 3 with posession.

(22.6 seconds, 2nd Half):  After Aisha Jefferson's miss, Wisconsin gets fouled and sinks both free throws.  Badgers 55, Spartans 50 -- MSU ball.

Final Score:  Wisconsin 56, Michigan State 50 -- the Badgers advance to tomorrow's first semifinal at 6 p.m. ET on the Big Ten Network.  Back with more after a break!
