Pregame:  We are court side waiting for tip-off between #1 seed and regular season Big Ten champion Ohio State and #9 Illinois ... watch on the Big Ten Network!

(20:00, 1st Half):  The jump ball is up and we are under way in the third quarterfinal of the day here at Conseco Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Ind.  Ohio State wins the tip.

(15:25, 1st Half):  Ohio State is off to a fast start and a 13-5 lead.  Ohio State is 6-of-6 from the field and has 10 points in the paint quickly.  Under-16 Media timeout.

(13:11, 1st Half):  Steal and a bucket and the Buckeyes are 10-for-10 from the field.  They lead 22-7.

(11:50, 1st Half):  Ohio State draws a charge and will get the ball leading 26-10 coming out of the media timeout.  The Buckeyes are shooting and insane 92% (11-for-12) from the field and have outrebounded the Illini 6-1.

(7:18, 1st Half):  Ohio State leads 28-10 and is shooting 67% from the field (12-for-18).  The Buckeyes will shoot two free throws when we resume.

(2:45, 1st Half):  Ohio State continues to shoot the bell very well (16-for-24, 67%) as they have opened up a 36-14 lead.

(Halftime):  What a half for the Buckeyes.  Ohio State leads 41-19 while shooting 67% (18-for-27) from the field.

(14:41, 2nd Half):  Illinois opened the half with 6 straight points, but Ohio State has answered back and leads 47-27 at the under-16 media timeout.

(11:53, 2nd Half):  Ohio State continues to pull away, now leading by 26.  Ohio State 55, Illinois 29.

(7:47, 2nd Half):  Ohio State 57, Illinois 37 as the Illini have held the Buckeye offense in check to cut the deficit to 20.

(3:20, 2nd Half):  Goodness, this game is moving fast.  7:34 EST and we are at the under-4 minute timeout.  Ohio State 65, Illinois 46.

Final Score from Indianapolis -- Ohio State 70, Illinois 53  -- Ohio State will play in the second quarterfinal tomorrow night.
