Purdue Advances in NCAA Women's Tournament

Purdue 66, Utah 59: Two months ago, Purdue had a losing record. Now, the Boilermakers are heading to the second round of the NCAA tournament. Kalika France and FahKara Malone scored 17 points each, and ninth-seeded Purdue beat No. 8 Utah 66-59 on Sunday night in the first round of the Oklahoma City regional.
Georgia 67, Iowa 61: Tasha Humphrey made a go-ahead turnaround jumper with 58 seconds left and Ashley Houts hit eight free throws in the final 41 seconds as Georgia outlasted Iowa 67-61 on Sunday in the first round of the New Orleans regional.
Texas 72, Minnesota 55: Emily Fox had a game-high 23 points, but Minnesota couldn't hold off Texas' combo of Earnesia Williams and Brittainey Raven in a 72-55 loss to the Longhorns on Sunday night, ending the Gophers season.
Florida State 60, Ohio State 49: Tanae Davis-Cain scored 27 points, one shy of her career high, and Mara Freshour added 14 points and 12 rebounds to help 11th-seeded Florida State upset sixth-seeded Ohio State 60-49 on Saturday night in the first round of the New Orleans Regional.
