No. 9 Michigan State 63, No. 1 Duke 49: Mia Johnson scored 17 points and Lauren Aitch had 15, lifting ninth-seeded Michigan State to a 63-49 win Tuesday night over the top-seeded Duke Blue Devils and former coach Joanne P. McCallie in the second round of the NCAA tournament.

Duke didn't make a shot for the last 7 1/2 minutes as it was outscored 16-2, leading to students rushing the court to celebrate.

No. 2 Texas A&M 73, No. 10 Minnesota 42: Going into their NCAA Second Round contest Minnesota knew No. 10/9 Texas A&M wanted to run, run and run some more. The Aggies were able to fuel their offense by scoring 34 points off of 32 Golden Gopher turnovers. The result sends Texas A&M, the Trenton Region’s No. 2 seed, defeated Minnesota, 73-42. The Gophers ended their season with a 20-12 record.
