MILWAUKEE - The Indiana women's basketball team fell in the quarterfinal round of the WNIT to Marquette, 57-54, at the Al McGuire Center on March 24. The Hoosiers, led by the efforts of senior guard Cyndi Valentin with 21 points, fought until the final minute but fell short to the Golden Eagles.
"We battled and did some really good things," head coach Sharon Versyp said. "It was a tale of two periods. We took it to them in the second half after they hit their open shots in the first. I wish we were still going, but there is no question this year was a great one. This team is going to go down in history as one of the best teams ever. For this team to come into this season and do what it did with a new head coach is amazing."Full Story...
