Kachine Alexander is Iowa's Suzy Favor Female Athlete of the Year Award Nominee

Through Friday, the Big Ten will highlight each of the 22 student-athletes nominated for the conference’s Jesse Owens Male and Suzy Favor Female Athlete of the Year Awards. Award winners are voted on by a pre-selected media panel and will be announced live on the Big Ten Network’s season-ending awards show on Monday at 6:30 p.m. CT.

KACHINE ALEXANDER – IOWA – BASKETBALL
Alexander became the first Big Ten women’s basketball player to record two triple-doubles in the same season when she accomplished the feat as a sophomore. She was the first Iowa player, and just the fifth in Big Ten history, to record 1,000 career points, 800 career rebounds and 300 career assists. Alexander finished her career ranked second in school history in double-doubles (34), second in rebounding (910), eighth in assists (339) and 16th in scoring (1,239).
