DeHaan receives her third career award and the first this season after leading Michigan State to a 2-1 record last week, including a 68-51 win over Clemson in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge. DeHaan averaged 18 points on .647 shooting with 8.7 rebounds, 4.3 blocks and was a perfect 10-for-10 from the free-throw line in three games. The 6-9 sophomore set season highs against the Tigers on Thursday with 26 points and 13 rebounds, marking her eighth career double-double and her first this season.

Lavender earns her second weekly honor after averaging 20.0 points and 14.5 rebounds per game as the Buckeyes went 1-1 last week. On Friday at No. 3/3 Maryland, Lavender tallied 16 points with 14 boards, a pair of blocks and a steal as she faced one of the toughest front lines in the nation. The freshman followed the performance with her third consecutive double-double as Ohio State went on to defeat 2007 NCAA Elite Eight qualifier Ole Miss, 69-55. Against the Rebels, Lavender recorded a career-high 24 points on 8-of-12 shooting (.667) with 15 rebounds and a blocked shot.
