Johnson averaged a double-double for the week, 15.5 points and 11.0 rebounds, and filled up the stat sheet with 5.0 steals, 2.5 assists and 1.5 blocks to help No. 25/25 Michigan State to wins over a pair of ranked opponents last week. In the ACC/Big Ten Challenge against No. 15/14 Florida State, Johnson nearly recorded a triple-double with 11 points, 11 rebounds and nine steals - the most steals in the Big Ten since 2008 - in a 72-64 road win. On Sunday against No. 17/20 Texas, she finished with 20 points and once again pulled down 11 rebounds to help the Spartans' to a 71-57 victory over the Longhorns in the Big Ten/Big 12 Challenge. She claims her first Big Ten Player of the Week honor.

Lavender was named Big Ten Player of the Week for the third time this season after averaging 27.5 points on 65.6 percent shooting, 8.5 rebounds, and 1.5 blocks to help the No. 6/6 Buckeyes to a pair of challenge victories last week. In the ACC/Big Ten Challenge against Virginia, Lavender recorded a double-double with 23 points and 13 rebounds in Ohio State's 74-46 win. On Sunday against nationally ranked Oklahoma, she scored 32 points on the No. 11/11 Sooners, adding four rebounds and two blocks, clinching the win for the Big Ten in the inaugural Big Ten/Big 12 Challenge. The senior has now won 16 weekly conference accolades, one shy of tying the all-time conference record.

Freshman of the Week:
Maggie Lucas, Penn State
5-9, G, Narberth, Pa./Germantown Academy
Lucas earns her third straight Big Ten Freshman of the Week distinction after averaging 19 points on 46.2 percent shooting for the Lady Lions this week. In an overtime contest against Boston College, Lucas posted a career-high 28 points, including six from three-point range, along with three rebounds and a block. In a victory over Texas Tech, she finished with 10 points, including a pair of timely treys, to help Penn State to a victory in the Big Ten/Big 12 Challenge.
