BIG TEN WOMEN'S BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Katie Ohm, Minnesota
Jr., G, 5-11, Elgin, Minn./Elgin-Millville

Ohm tallied a career-high 23 points in Minnesota's 80-60 win over Boston College in the ACC/Big Ten Women's Basketball Challenge on Thursday. The junior tied a Williams Arena record with seven three-pointers, marking the highest single-game output in the Big Ten so far this season. In the game, Ohm shot 57.1 percent from the field, including 63.6 percent from beyond the arc. The Elgin, Minn., native also added eight rebounds, two steals and two assists as the Golden Gophers built up a 20-point margin on the Eagles who were receiving votes in the AP poll. Ohm owns two of the conference's three highest single-game three-point totals this year and has 33 long-range field goals in nine contests, putting her on pace to break the Minnesota single-season record of 73 set in 2001-02 and tied in 2004-05. The weekly award is the first of Ohm's career.
