Jaeschke earns her second Big Ten Player of the Week honor this season after posting career highs of 37 points and 17 rebounds in Northwestern's 92-84 win over Central Michigan on Saturday. The senior also tallied six blocks and four assists in the Wildcats' win, shooting 60 percent (15-of-25) from the floor. Jaeschke's performance helped Northwestern to an 8-1 record, marking the team's best nine-game start since the 1995-96 season. Through nine games, Jaeschke leads the Big Ten in rebounds per game (10.2) and blocks per game (3.9) and is second in points per game (24.1).

Lucas collects her fourth consecutive Big Ten Freshman of the Week award after posting back-to-back 20-point performances to lead Penn State to convincing wins over Army and Maine last week. The newcomer notched 20 points, eight rebounds and four steals in the Lady Lions' 95-65 win over Army on Wednesday. She followed with 22 points on 67 percent shooting (8-of-12) along with four rebounds, two steals and two assists in a 95-41 victory over Maine on Sunday. Lucas leads all Big Ten freshmen in scoring and ranks fourth overall in the conference, averaging 17.0 points through 11 games.
