DeHaan earns her first weekly award of the season after leading Michigan State to wins over No. 8/8 Xavier and Florida Gulf Coast last week. The senior put up 22 points against the nationally ranked Musketeers on Wednesday, shooting 80 percent from the floor, while also grabbing 13 rebounds and blocking five shots. Her points and rebounds totals were both season-highs as Michigan State knocked off its second top-10 opponent of the year. On Sunday against Florida Gulf Coast, DeHaan tallied 11 points with seven rebounds and three blocks in just 18 minutes on the floor. For the week, she averaged 16.5 points, 10.0 rebounds and 4.0 blocks per game while shooting 70.6 percent from the floor and going 8-for-9 (88.9 percent) from the free-throw line. The weekly accolade is the seventh of DeHaan’s career.

FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
Nikki Greene, Penn State

Greene earns Freshman of the Week honors after helping Penn State to two wins last week, including a 77-73 victory over No. 15/15 Pittsburgh on Saturday. The freshman averaged 12.0 points, 10.5 rebounds and 1.5 blocks per game as the Lady Lions picked up their first win over a ranked opponent since Dec. 2, 2007. Against Monmouth on Wednesday, Greene tallied her first collegiate double-double with 12 points and 14 boards with a pair of blocks before dropping in 12 more points with seven boards, a block and a steal vs. the nationally ranked Panthers on Saturday. The weekly honor is Greene’s first and the first for a Penn State player this season.
